Which celebrity is the most internet-hyped? Which celebrity is long buried in oblivion? More than 335.000 user opinions speak for themselves.

The Celebrity Buzz Barometer by ethority in cooperation with Sueddeutsche.de, bunte.de and bild.de demonstrates the intensity with which international and national celebrities are discussed on the web. Moreover, the study provides information about the attitude towards celebrities based on the occurrence of positive, negative or neutral user comments concerning the persons examined.

Survey:

  • Comprehensive evaluation with the aid of ethority’s own monitoring technology gridmaster
  • Period of the study: April 2009 & May - August 2009
  • Sample: 130.000 user opinions (1st evaluation) & 225.000 comments (2nd evaluation) concerning 245 celebrities from 7 different fields
  • Surveyed channels: forums and weblogs
